I can’t believe myself tuning in to the matches of the Olympic Games. Well, actually I can, since the games are broadcast at almost every other channel these days. I am not really a sports fan, but I think watching the games is really exciting. Anyway, I probably only tune in to Gymnastics and Swimming more than any other game, since these 2 are really more interesting to watch, at least for me. For the latter, it is easier to explain since Mr Phelps is gunning for a record of 8 golds, one of which was won today. And, also we have Kosuke Kitajima of Japan looking to retain his title in the breaststroke events. More importantly, our very own Singaporean Tao Li has created history by becoming the first Singaporean to qualify for a swimming final, the 100m Butterfly Final to be exact! Hope she wins one!! As for gymnastics, I think it’s just amazing to watch, especially when they do all these flips and stuff on the horizontal bars and such.

I really hope Singapore wins at least one medal this time round!!

I think these videos have been around for some while. As a Singaporean, I think I should support local talent as well, therefore I think I should have music videos of locals who have done well abroad. In this post, I would be posting Sun Ho’s English Music Video, “China Wine” and “Kill Bill”. Here’e the video:

I would prefer ”China Wine” to “Kill Bill” since the latter sounds more cheena… But, I think she looks great in these videos. Anyway, hope her debut English album will be released soon, but obviously not when Madonna’s album (or any other heavyweight releases his/her album).

Oh yes, you probably saw her as an assasin in Wyclef Jean’s “Fast Car” MTV too:

Discipline

Just read The Straits Times and found out that 2 Singaporeans, Chuando and Frey actually shot the album pictures for Ms Janet Jackson for her latest album ‘Discipline’. Although I personally think the album cover looks a bit frightening, I think it is really wonderful to know that Singaporeans’ work are being used for something so big!! I think I might just get the album because of this reason, and probably also since I really like ‘Feedback’ a lot. And also because she was mentioned to be a very nice person! All the wrong reasons to buy an album, but well, I haven’t bought an English album since Leona Lewis’ Spirit!
