Review: All I Ever Wanted, Kelly Clarkson

Ok I am a fan of Pop music, so I was really delighted when I heard Kelly Clarkson’s new album! I don’t think Pop music is bad, but I think it’s not easy to make pop music that has both depth (erm, well a certain degree of it) and well, popular. And also, singers who do those catchy tunes usually aren’t great singers. Well, it’s not true for this album!

The album blasts off with the first single, “My Life Will Suck Without You”, which sees Kelly returning in top form since her last album, “My December”, back in 2007. The super-catchy “I Do Not Hook Up” follows next. Big ballads “Cry” and “Already Gone” are awesome, and really showing off her powerful vocals. The album ends with a really heartfelt and quiet (in comparison to the other songs) number, “If No One Will Listen”, which is really quite touching, and one of my favourites on the album. There isn’t really a “bad” track so to speak on this entire album, and I really enjoy listening to it again and again. The only track which I thought could be performed better is “I Want You”, because it could be cheekier…

The album really consists of many types of music, and it really shows how versatile Kelly can be. Get the deluxe edition and be rewarded with 2 more tracks, “Tip of My Tongue” and “The Day We Fell Apart”, which I think are really nice. Personally I prefer the latter though.

Get the album now!
