What’s happening to Hilary (Duff)?

I’m not sure what’s going on with Hilary Duff these days. I mean she has shed this innocent-girl image that she had ever since she was Lizzie McGuire, to become ?? Below is the music video for her latest single, Reach Out:

At first I thought it would be some inspirational song, since many songs and phrases with the word reach in it had some hint of being inspirational (S Club 7’s Reach, Gloria Estefan’s Reach, reach out for the stars etc.) This song is totally not. Although I was sort of disappointed, the music is actually not that bad. As for the image she’s portraying, I’m not sure whether it’s a good move. I mean she is (or was) a role model for young kids with her “clean image”. I surely hope she knows what she’s doing.

Ok now for the good news, NBC has signed a one-year development deal with Hilary, and will become a fixture on NBC, with a new series, and guest-starring in several other NBC series over the next year, according to http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081114/ap_en_tv/tv_nbc_duff_2.
